The BARIG Arbitration Committee is dealing with the processes and procedures of the arbitration board for public transportation (SÖP) in Germany.
Since January 2014 the arbitration in air traffic is in place and about half of the more than 100 BARIG member airlines have joined the SÖP already. The committee takes care of the design for the appropriate processes and the enforcement of the new law. Furthermore, the committee is watching the activities of arbitration institutions and calls for relevant adaptations in handling and implementation, if necessary.
