Job description

The Cargo Sales & Customer Service Agent will be responsible for managing and promoting Silkway West Airlines in the area which is covered from our FRA Branch. The key role will be to develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customer and to generate new traffics with customers and /or manage projects.

Main duties

• Customer care and advice by phone and email
• Quoting for Adhoc shipments
• Place bookings in our system
• Administration Work related to Sales and Customer Service
• Verification (MAWBs upon departure)
• Performing shipment updates as per information provided by the customer
• Providing status updates to the customers(export), or copying trucking team for import updates
• Informing customers about damages/DG failures/missing shipments/non delivery/battery checklists
• Monitoring of pickups from customers’ warehouses (Allotments/Ad-hoc)
• Support of GYD/HQ inquiries (documentation/DG and MAWB copies etc.)
• Rebooking in case of a late delivery according to the information provided by the customer
• Checking common email box
• Making cargo bookings based on CASS Number or system generated agent number
• Making monthly pre-bookings/allotments
• Providing customer service
• Availability on the mobile phone
• Performing CCA’s as per customer request
• Customer care and advice by phone and email
• Administrational Work related to Customer Service
• Shipment’s Monitoring
• Communication with other stations
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions and making recommendations to management
• Week-end duties according to rooster

Required experience

  • - Basic knowledge of airfreight
  • - Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • - Able to work in a team and to work without constant supervision
  • - Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken)
  • - Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures
  • - Good knowledge in pc skills ( MS office / Champ )
  • - Strong organizational skills
  • - Customer-oriented behavior
