SUPERVISOR AIRPORT SERVICES (f/m/d) at Air Astana

Air Astana is the principal airline of Central Asia and the first carrier in the CIS/Eastern Europe to be awarded the 4-Star rating by Skytrax in its World Airline Awards, in addition Air Astana was named as “The Best Airline in Central Asia and India” 2012 –2025. Air Astana is serving more than 60 destinations worldwide via its hubs Astana and Almaty using a young and modern fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft. Air Astana is a full member of the International Air Transport Association and was the first airline in Kazakhstan to achieve EU EASA Part 145 aircraft maintenance certification.

Main duties

The selected candidate will supervise, plan and coordinate flight handling such as flight editing, check-in, transfers and boarding procedures in order to ensure a highest standard of service is achieved in keeping with Air Astana 4 star Airline status awarded by Skytrax.

Required experience

  • Applicants must be High School graduates, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years airline or ground handling work experience with a minimum of 2 years being spent in a supervisory position. IATA and Airline industry education will be an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of general airport functions in terms of passenger service delivery and baggage handling, weight and balance and D.G.R.
  • A good understanding of Customer Relations training such as Passenger Services, Baggage Services, ground Operations and DGR.
  • Excellent personnel development skills including ability to work in a team under pressure, hands on approach to the daily operations and excellent communication skills in spoken/written English and German ( Russian speaking is an advantage)
  • Proficiency on advanced computer applications (WORD and EXCEL) are essential requirements of the job
  • The staff is expected to work independently and have the ability to make decisions.
