  • Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, began its flight operations on 25 October 1985 and has been flying from Germany since 1987. Ever since Emirates has been connecting people and places, stimulating trade relations worldwide and inspires to travel.

    The airline flies non-stop from Germany ten times a day, and over 1,800 flights a week depart from the Dubai hub to 158 destinations in 86 countries on six continents.

    Emirates has more than 271 wide-bodied aircraft in operation worldwide, making it the largest long-haul fleet on the Airbus A380 and Boeing 777. The Emirates Group generated over US $ 27.9 billion revenues last year, carried over 58 million passengers and has more than 100,000 employees worldwide, representing over 160 different nationalities.

    Emirates offers its customers world-class comfort and service as well as friendly cabin crew and has been awarded over 500 international prizes. In addition, guests of all classes enjoy the award-winning on-board entertainment programme ice with over 4,000 channels, free Wi-Fi plus a wide selection of fine wines and gourmet menus made from fresh and locally sourced ingredients.

    Emirates is a privately-owned company that is not protected by the government and has never been subsidized. Emirates Skywards is the award-winning, free frequent flyer program. The freight division Emirates SkyCargo transports export goods from Germany to markets in Middle East, Africa and Asia.
