Singapore Airlines is one of the world's leading airlines.
Founded in 1947 as Malaysia-Singapore Airlines, the airline has been setting the standard in international air travel for 70 years, taking the name Singapore Airlines in 1972 as Singapore's national carrier. During this time, the carrier has established itself as one of the best and most awarded airlines worldwide.
SIA group’s network, including its low-cost subsidiary Scoot and its air cargo subsidiary Singapore Airlines Cargo, covers over 130 destinations in more than 30 countries and territories; with services linking Asia, Europe, the Middle East, South-West Pacific, Americas and Africa.
In Germany, Singapore Airlines operates from Frankfurt to Singapore and New York and serves the route from Munich to Singapore. From Berlin, passengers can travel to Singapore with the low-cost subsidiary Scoot.
In May 2021, the airline committed to becoming a climate neutral by 2050. This will be achieved by investing in modern aircraft, increasing operational efficiency, adopting low-carbon technologies such as sustainable jet fuels and utilising high-quality carbon offsets.
