BARIG Full Board II/2024 – In Focus: Airport Infrastructure and SAF Market Situation

On November 15, 2024, the BARIG team welcomed numerous representatives from its 100+ member airlines and business partners to the Full Board Networking & Conference Day at the Dorint Hotel Pallas Wiesbaden.

The networking and conference day began with a video keynote by Stefan Schnorr, State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport, who emphasized Germany’s importance as a high performing aviation sector both in passenger air transport and air cargo. Following, Ulrich Heppe, CEO of Stuttgart Airport, gave a presentation on future developments and focus topics of Stuttgart Airport. In two engaging round table discussions, industry leaders explored key topics such as infrastructure development at German airports and the ramp-up of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF). Additionally, the new “Speedy Spotlight” format provided business partners with an opportunity to present their services and contributions to the aviation industry. The conference ended with a political keynote by Kaweh Mansoori, Hessian Minister for Economics, Energy, Transport, Housing, and Rural Areas.

Afterwards, the community assembled for a get-together, enjoying engaging conversations and networking opportunities.
